WORSHIP AND CHURCH SCHOOL

July 3 – The Rev. Allan Janssen continues his  summer sermon series on, “Why I Am Reformed.”   This Sunday’s  consideration will be given to God’s beloved Kingdom and the expansive sccpe of the Reformed vision.   The scripture texts will be Isiah 65:17-25 and Mark 1:14-15.  Your understanding will be enhanced if you read and reflect on the passages before Sunday.

Pastoral Care requests should be conveyed directly to Rev. Janssen or through the church office at 201-444-4625.

The Choir will be in its summer mode this Sunday.  Everyone is invited to join the choir at 9:30 in the Choir Room.  After a short rehearsal everyone will join their families and friends in the congregation.  At anthem time, everyone will gather at the front of the chancel to sing the anthem. 

Attention!  If you see the Community Church as your church home and you would be interested in becoming a member, let Pastor Janssen know at 201-444-4625. 

 You can affiliate with the Community Church of Glen Rock in several ways.  If you are a member in good standing in a church in a previous community you may join CCGR by Letter of Transfer.  If you have beAt en a member in a church but have been long removed from that congregation or are unsure about your membership records you may join CCGR by Reaffirmation of Faith.  If you do not have a previous affiliation you can join CCGR by Confession of Faith.  The latter may include baptism if you have not previously received it.   Conversation with Pastor Janssen will explain the steps necessary in each case.

Church School-   Videos and movies will be shown for children in the Drop-In-Center on the summer Sundays.

The Church Office is operating on Summer Hours and wil close everyday at 1 pm.

Lemonade on the Porch will continue this  Sunday and continue through out the summer.   If you can serve one Sunday, sign-up in the Narthex.

Prayer is an important part of our community life.  Personnel concerns may be addressed by full name or first name if so desired in the Sunday bulletin, by our prayer groups and/or through the website.  If you desire to have some one lifted up in prayer please contact our pastor, the church office or Carolyn Weir at 201-445-6814.  You may also contact the “Church News”, editor as indicated below.

Currents - the GRCC monthly Newsletter is going digital.  Make sure the church office has your e-mail address.  If you do not have electronic capabilites let the office know and you will continue to receive it by snail mail.

Sermons may be obtained in printed form in the Narthex,  Audio tapes may be requested from the church office and may also be downloaded from this website.
