Our Ministries
Youth and Children’s: We seek to be faithful to the promises made at every baptism in many ways, one of which is by offering Christian education opportunities for our children and youth. Our ministry oversees the church school including reviewing curriculum, helping with service projects and the Christmas Pageant, planning and chaperoning fellowship events for middle school through high school, as well as fundraisers for our various mission trips and retreats.
Adult Nurture: Educational sessions, retreats, and spiritual growth opportunities for adults are offered to enable each person’s faith journey.
Worship: In worship the congregation engages in a lively dialogue with God, through the proclaiming of the word, and through music and prayer. The worship ministry plans and coordinates regular and special worship services and events.
Prayer Partners: Prayer is an important part in the life of our church. The prayer partner’s ministry accepts special requests to pray for those in need.
Finance: The finance ministry works to ensure that our church has the resources necessary to support the ministries of our congregation. They monitor the financial status of the church and prepare an annual budget for the congregation’s consideration.
Lay Visitation: The lay visitation ministry visits the sick and homebound in homes, hospitals and nursing homes. They also provide rides and other help to those who need assistance.
Missions: Our mission ministries offer opportunities to give, serve and act in a wide range of local, national and international organizations. These ministries include hunger, Katrina reconstruction, service to homeless, and baby care kits for families in need.
Property: The property ministry oversees and maintains the integrity of the church building and grounds.
Church Growth: The church growth ministry develops initiatives to encourage people to learn about and join our congregation and to become a part of its ministries. The ministry seeks to increase the participation of all members in our fellowship.
