Rev. Dr. Allan Janssen – Senior Pastor

The Rev. Dr. Allan Janssen has served as senior pastor of the Community Church of Glen Rock (CCGR) since 2000.  Prior to that, he was pastor of Reformed churches in Port Ewen and Selkirk, New York. Raised in parsonages in South Dakota and Iowa, he graduated from Central College in Pella, Iowa, and the Seminaries of the Reformed Church in New Brunswick, New Jersey and Holland, Michigan.

He is married to Colleen, and they have three grown children, Jonathan, Sarah and Emily and one grandchild.

He has served the Reformed Church in a variety of capacities, including moderator of several General Synod commissions. He is also an adjunct professor at New Brunswick Theological Seminary in systematic theology and denominational studies. He received graduate degrees from the State University of New York at Albany and the Free University of Amsterdam. He has written a number of books and many articles, and is a member of a number of societies including the International Reformed Theological Institute.

His hobbies include gardening, travel, reading, and playing with his granddaughter.
